Now that you have added your photo’s, detailing and journal ( write notes), your pages are complete. Always remember to journal each page, as this tells the story of what the photo’s are about. Make sure you stick to a theme for each book. Once the pages are finished, place them in the album, then your first scrapbook album has been accomplished.
Your well on the way now to accomplishing more items in the scrapbook world. After you have completed a few albums, you can then try your hand at adding your photo’s onto canvas, making a collage with your photo’s, or even making a page then framing it. Photo’s on canvas look great, when hanging on your walls.
Albums NannyOne has completed, have been my children’s schooling, growing up, and a couple of competition one’s. Other projects in the pipeline are – my husband’s fishing trips
my personal story
a travel album
as you can see, there is no limit to what you create. Remember to have fun when you are working on your project.
That is about it for now on your scrapbook items, I will be moving onto the next part of my blog in the upcoming weeks. I hope you all enjoyed reading my posts on scrapbook pages.
As you are well on your way now, NannyOne thought it was time step up and give you all some layout design’s.
When you really into scrapping, you will find that there are literary hundreds of layout’s to choose from. These start off with 1 photo to a page, up to 6-7 photo’s to a page depending on the design and size of the photo’s. Once you have made your choice you then make your page, thus sticking your photo’s onto the cardstock that you already have, and then add the detailing to your page.
Detailing is the finishing touches to your page, these include * stickers, rubons, chipboard, flowers
* painting, stamping, embossing,
* embellishments such as ribbon, buttons, brads
and a host of other items you can use. There is no limit to your imagination, when it comes to designing a page, to scrap. Today there is no shortage in materials to choose from, such as different types of cardstock, all kinds of paper either plain or patterned, you use in your scrapbook. Thinking about how to set out your photo’s on a page can be time consuming when you first start out.
I have scrapped some pages with different layouts. Well this should give you some more ideas to continue until my next post.
NannyOne is signing off until we meet again.

Well NannyOne thinks it is about time to step up and get things rolling onto my next post. In this one I am going to start with the Scrapbook side of my passions.
Getting started– if you remember in my last post I made mention to some of the materials that were required to Scrapbook. One of the main ingredients for ease to work is having plenty of clear space on your work area. Having clutter around does not make for clear thinking when designing your pages and picking photo’s for your design.
Next you need is the photo’s that you want to scrap. At this stage you should already have your photo’s sorted in files, that is ones for Travel, School years, Wedding, children, and other categories for the photo’s that you have taken. Hey NannyOne soon found out this out when she first started to scrapbook. As I had photo’s from over 40yrs, they were in scatted in albums, boxes containers and elsewhere, it was quite an experience trying to sort out where photo’s belonged to what category. So having a filing system for your photo’s, helps in choosing what theme you want to scrap. By theme I mean like School years, say Little Sam’s years from prep to high school. Try to keep to a theme for each album.
Now you have your photo’s, next task is to choose what coloured card and paper that goes well with the photo’s you are using. Now there is so many types and coloures to choose from, you should have no trouble in finding ones that blend with the photo’s. Purchasing the materials to Scrapbook, can be done by;
- Visiting a store near you, depending on where you live, generally there quite a nmber of these, to purchase materials.
- Asking family and friends if they know of places where to buy goods.
- Visiting scrapbook sites on the computer, there are hundreds of sites to buy your items.
- Finding out if there are any workshops near you and visiting them, you can gnerally pick up materials that may be at a discounted price.
Well I think that NannyOne has chatted enough to get you all started, and will continue in my next post.
Onto another post in the life of NannyOne. As you would have read in my last post, that I have a number of interest’s, well that is what this post will be covering. In today’s society, you have choices as to what lifestyle you are going to be comfortable with. Scrapbook as a hobby, can be quite costly if you tend to buy all the goodies that are out there. Just starting out you only need the basics such as;
- cutting mat, scissors, ruler, glue
- paper, card cutting shapes,
- embellishments > flowers, brads, ribbon
- stickers, lettering, paint,
- stamps
As NannyOne said above that your hobbies can be costly, so if you are looking at increasing your income to supplement your life and have a hobby as well,then here are a few strategies that you can implement on your journey.Two of my strategies are Share Trading and Internet Marketing.
Share Trading, this is a great way in bring in income. Make sure you have the right Mindset with trading, as you can become unstuck very quickly with trading. By learning the strategies first before implementing them you will be more watchful on what you are trading. It is FUN, I enjoy trading, and there are so many strategies that are even here, some of them are; Options, Forex, Commodities, E-Mimi’s, and a host of others. The programme I use is LIFESTYLE TRADER —Aussie Rob. Another great programme is Planet Wealth.
Internet Marketing, well I am excited about where the future is going with the Internet. Up until a few months back I was just using my computer for basic work and photo’s. NOW there is a whole new world out there for NannyOne to play with!!! Choices, there are hundreds. You can have social, business or both combined, Web Marketing stream of income. Likes of Google,Webvision 2020, Facebook, Twitter, U-Tube, Digg,Hi5, Squidoo, Flickr, Blogcatalog, just to name a few. This is the next big generated stream of income in the world. The Internet is user friendly to all ages, from the very young to the elderly, there is no barriers. That is how Nanny is communicating with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Well that will be all in this post, just giving my readers a peak into what NannyOne is about today.

Welcome back to Nanny’s blog, I hope that over the up coming posts, you begin to enjoy what I am covering, things that I am passionate about Scrapbook, Internet, Share Trading, just to name a few.
As I started in my last post, Scrapbook information is never ending. With so many websites, workshops and friends to swap ideas, you can imagine all the different ways you can make your photo’s tell a story. When I was first introduced to Scrapbooking, I was blown away with all the unique strategies that you could use to make Albums with your photo’s.
I have done the childrens school albums, which I started from pre-school up to when they left school. In these I included their school photo’s, reports, achievement cards, any sport photo’s, ribbons. When you start to scrap these, you get a buzz from making them, and reminisce back over the times. I have made one of my son’s Wedding Album for him and his wife. To see the look on their faces, when they are going through it, gave me Mum/ Nanny enjoyment as well.
Something that you can also achieve today, is digital Scrapbook, on the internet. This is where you design and make your pages and albums on the web. When complete they look great, but personally I like to do the actual pages with my own materials, satisfaction I suppose!!

Wedding Party
Until next time
